We gather together as parishes and as a community.

Located on the South Shore of the Boston area, Weymouth is a community with approximately 54,000 residents. Nestled between the Fore and Back Rivers to the west and east, and extending south of Massachusetts Route 3 to Abington and Rockland, the town was founded in 1622, making it the second-oldest community in Massachusetts.

The first Catholic Church in Weymouth was St. Francis Xavier church, dedicated in 1859. The original Immaculate Conception Church in East Weymouth was dedicated in 1879, and Saint Jerome Church was established in 1880 as a mission of Immaculate Conception to accommodate the residents of summer cottages in North Weymouth. The parishes grew and flourished, serving Weymouth Catholics for many years, with dedicated priests, deacons and religious for each community.

In 2013, Immaculate Conception and Saint Jerome became a collaborative, in accordance with Disciples in Mission, the pastoral plan for the Archdiocese of Boston. Today, Immaculate Conception Parish and Saint Jerome Parish are again shepherded by a single pastor. We strive as a Collaborative community to serve all who seek the fullness of the Catholic faith within our doors. We welcome you in Jesus' name!
